My Fit Foods

OK, I'm sure that many of you have heard of My Fit Foods:

What you probably don't know (and it's not that important either) is that they are one of my clients. So, that's kind of a cool, random side note.

My boss eats there all the time - and raves about it all the time. For the EP5k in January there was a B1G1 coupon in our race packets. Since Sean and I both ran it, we had two coupons. They expired yesterday.

I'll be perfectly honest, I wasn't planning on using them. But my mom called me to tell me how good it was, so I decided as I was driving home last night to give it a shot. OMG. SO GOOD. I totally recommend it. It's a little pricey, but it was definitely worth it.

So - try it out. :) Food pitch over.

In other news, after much debate, I have decided to run 2 5ks in March. As you probably remember, I am participating in Warrior Dash March 20 with my dad and little brother. When I made my resolution to run a 5k a month, I was counting doing Warrior Dash as one. BUT since it's not a straight run, I got to thinking that maybe I should do one straight run in March as well. Originally I was thinking about running one this weekend BUT it is my dear friend Jenn's birthday on Friday night, so I have opted not to.

I've been actively (haha, pun intended) searching Active.com for a 5k to run and finally have decided on the Green Clover 5k Fun Run on March 12:

This excites me for multiple reasons:

1. Having a race date set keeps my motivation up
2. It is at the Goose's Acre in the Woodlands
3. One of my dearest friends works at the Goose's Acre and I haven't seen him in FOREVER. DONE AND DONE. Aaron and I have been friends since I was 16 and we both worked at Jason's Deli and we have managed to keep in touch throughout the years, even though our lives have taken drastically different courses. So I'm very excited to see him again.

He is also participating in another Goose's Acre fundraiser for St. Baldricks so if you're looking for a good cause to donate to, donate here. All of the funds are going to fight children's cancer, and he is aiming for $1,000 personally (Goose's Acre is aiming for $25k total). On Sunday, March 13, he will be shaving his head along with many others to support this cause. GREAT cause, donate! :) Aaron pitch over.

I hope you all have a fabulous day!

  2. Sounds like a fun 5k! I've had myfitfoods before it's pretty good. Someone in my office eats it for every meal every day and has lost quite a bit of weight. Don't think I could do that though.

  3. I could never eat my fit foods all the time, but it was definitely a nice switch from what other 'restaurants' or fast food places offer. my coworker/boss is eating them for just about every meal too, but i like cooking too much for that!!
