Weekly Workout Recaps & Weekly Workout #7

I know, I know... I'm behind. So I'm combining. We'll start with Weekly Workout #6's Recap... Oh and I don't feel like uploading new pictures right now (I am lazy, I know) so I'm going to supplement this post with some of my old favorites. :)

Overall planned miles: 20

Overall actual miles: 20 (running); 3 (walking)

If you're wondering where any of the strength-training was... well, so am I. I really have no good answer other than I just didn't do it and wasn't feeling it. This is 100% against what I believe in, because I am a firm believer in strength-training, but.... I don't know, it just didn't happen. OHHHH WELLLLLL.

THIS WEEK:

Monday: Rest/Cross-training day
Tuesday: 2 miles @ 9:56 min/pace
Wednesday: Rest/Cross-training day
Thursday: 5 mile tempo run; 3 miles @ 8:23 min/pace
Friday: Rest/Cross-training day
Saturday: Rest/Cross-training day
Sunday: 16 miles @ 9:56 min/pace

I'll tell you right now that I'm having a very hard time getting motivated so far this week. I don't know if it's from the long weekend or what, but the workouts I've done so far have been a struggle

What do you do when you're lacking motivation? I tend to not give myself any time to think about what I'm doing. I just throw on workout clothes and tell myself to do just a little bit of what I had planned and usually I get through it OK.

How do you do with long weekends? I totally did not do well as far as "healthy eating" went on Monday.... or last Friday... but Saturday and Sunday I was OK. No not really, the whole weekend wasn't what I normally eat and I felt it Monday evening.

  2. I hope I can run like you one day!!

You motivated me so much today and I can't thank you enough! I usually suck it up and go but because of the bipolar weather I was a little iffy about it so thank you! (:

Just say the words you said to me to motivate yourself!! (: haha

  3. My motivation has been out the window! I feel it coming back this week though.

What DVD do you use for pilates? I think I've only done pilates once back in the day and it was on a VHS. :-) Seems like something I'd like now.

  4. Long holiday weekends can always be brutal for me when it comes to healthy eating and drinking. This past weekend I know I indulged in too much fast food and beer. I don't feel so bad about it because I hardly ever over indulge. I can say for one thing it felt sooo good to get back into the workout routine on Tuesday.

  5. I think you're lacking motivation bc it's 100000 degrees in Houston :).
Every weekend with my boyfriend is totally weird and over indulgent foods. But...since it's only like once every two or three weeks, I don't sweat it too much :).

  6. I do what you do. Don't think about it, just put on your clothes and go. And then I think about what I'm going to eat when I get done. Terrible. ;)
